What would be the best way to attach sequins to faux leather?
I’ve just bought some heels from New look that are matt fake leather, no shiny and with a kind of snake skin pattern on them but I want to cover them in sequins.
Does anyone know the best way to do this? I considered super glue but i think they might crack off where the shoes crease?
Is there a special kind of glue I can get?
I think you’d want a glue with at least some flexibility, so I’d use a strong “white glue” like perhaps The Ultimate (by Crafters Pick)… or a white glue made especially for adhering non-porous surfaces to porous ones like Gem Tac or Jewel-It.
You might also get away with using E6000 silicone type glue (it’s flexible, but not so good for lungs and might be harder to deal with for covering a large area with tiny items like sequins).
You could probably also use a 2-part epoxy glue…it’d be strong, but wouldn’t have any flexibility.
(Super glues need to have exactly matching surfaces to give their best bond, so they probably wouldn’t be good anyway.)
(All the glues mentioned will dry, or cure, clear.)
