Dog Lovers (NOT trainers!): What do you know about the different training methods?
I am an animal trainer, but I ask this because I am interested learning on how many dog-lovers who are not involved in this business about the type of training available and their options when they need it a trainer.
ive got the privilege to be a puppy who just smart. lol but we have them at 2 months old and she was very easy to potty train. We live in an apartment, so that every time she went to the toilet outside, we gave them a little piece of dog biscuit. (we broke earlier because we thought it would be much more difficult for her as she really was.) Previously I have only learned her "No", "down" and "sit". But that, plus potty training in 2 months is more than awesome to me! well ive got it, where they used to enter or leave a room, a car or something, without me, she should. it works only with my voice, so My husband has no luck, lol. I travel a lot i with her (to visit my parents a lot of state and I have to take her, so she isn't alone in the apartment while my husband is at work) and it was always difficult to get them in and out of the car, they wouldnt move, but Saturday we would get their shots, and we went more to the car and I opened the door and said, "get in" and to my surprise them happy as ever jumped, I can say I was as thrilled! and worked for the same thing when we arrived there I told her "get out" and jumped out. shes a purebred Australian shepherd, i dont know thats whether has something to do before her honestly i can tell you i didn't know that even a race. (my mother always was a cat lady, I went out when I was 18 and we only had 2 dogs in my life .. was a Dalmatian and the other was a Lhasa Apso (sp?)), but after her (she was actually free, there was the lady to me cause they said they found "" she and her brothers and the mother deep in the country, now that I think about that doesn't make any sense think I found an advertisement for the puppy and called on myspace and they said she was also a breeder, but i wasn't going to question everything she knew what I had, she is adorable puppies that they are giving away for free!) after I they get and they brought home, she seemed alittle weird, do not eat for a puppy or too much energy, but I thought it was just the change in the situation. But no, turns out she was in the final stages of parvo (really) about to die, the woman lied and said she gave them all their first shots and they wouldnt be due In a month or so. but all shes got better, I have a treatment at home and now she is indeed their shots! But my point is, this dog is unbelievable, they is a big part of my life and shes so smart! I think she is just naturally smart.
